About Us
Who are we?
We are a group of adults (some of us OLD adults!) who either haven’t played our instruments in years (decades!) or never had the opportunity to play in a band or orchestra in our youth.
We range in age from our 20s to our 90s. Some people had never played before and began an instrument for the very first time with us (what are those little black marks on the paper??). Others returned to their instruments after a long time away (20 years, 30 years, even 70 years!). Some played an instrument but wanted to try a different one, and others started lessons as adults and found the band along the way.
Oh, yeah—and some of us are experienced musicians looking for a more relaxed place to play!

Concept & Philosophy
It's simple: "Your best is good enough!"
This is a band and a string ensemble designed to meet the needs of the players—not the other way around. The goal is to have fun making music together.
Our members range from novice to experienced players, and we intentionally make room for everyone. Some players simplify parts, others take on extra challenges, and everyone focuses on musical expression—not just “getting through the notes.”
Just as important, our groups are welcoming and supportive. There is no judgmental atmosphere — your best is good enough!
